Rumored to be a future project of Peter Jackson, it's going to be a bold statement from me, but I feel if Jackson makes these films (based on a book series by Philip Reeve) I personally believe they will be as good, if not better (I'm being serious) than LOTR.
Anyone who has read the books will probably see where I am coming from on that statement, those who haven't, well, you're missing out and I suggest maybe reading the books at some point!

I agree however if Jackson doesn't do them I would like to see Terry Gilliam have a crack at it!

The books are better than the LOTR books I feel!

I believe it's going to be quite a feat to challenge Lord of the Rings but Mortal Engines is such a charming but surprisingly dark book filled with character that I am strongly looking forward to a film based on the series!

I agree with Jamie in that Terry Gilliam should do it! He'd make it superb. I really liked The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, thought it was surreal and magical. Although The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is gonna take up a lot of his time...
